Re the fixed rotating schedule, I'd appreciate some input on the following:
* there would be 3 zones - Americas / Europe / Asia-Pacific ** generally we can cover 2 zones per month
*** Americas evening would cover APAC day
*** Europe evening would cover Americas day
*** APAC evening would cover Europe day
* the meeting will be scheduled for the 2nd Tuesday of each month
** what would be a suitable time to start?
** 8pm in the evening in the zone?
*** in the Americas zone that would be 8pm US East coast
*** in the European zone that would be 8pm Western Europe
*** in the APAC zone that would be 8pm Australia East coast
This means the times (before adjusting for daylight saving time) will be:
%|Location|Americas|Europe|APAC|%
&|UTC|0100 + 1 day|1900|1000|&
&|UK|0100 + 1 day|1900|1000|&
&|Western Europe|0200 + 1 day|'''2000'''|1100|&
&|India|0630 + 1 day|0030 + 1 day|1530|&
&|Western Australian|0900 + 1 day|0300 + 1 day|1800|&
&|Eastern Australian|1100 + 1 day|0500 + 1 day|'''2000'''|&
&|New Zealand|1300 + 1 day|0700 + 1 day|2200|&
&|Western US|1700|1100|0200|&
&|Central US|1900|1300|0400|&
&|Eastern US|'''2000'''|1400|0500|&
with adjustment for daylight saving time (i.e. the 2000 stays but other zones are adjusted if they are not on DST).
If that passes the sniff test I'll prepare a schedule for 2023 (and beyond)
