The first meeting will be at Sun Wah on W. Argyle, Feb 6 at 8:00 pm. Sun Wah is right next to the Argyle stop on the red line. For this meeting, the agenda will be casual. We'll introduce ourselves, and talk about what we'd like to do for future meetings. '''Potential topics for TUG meetings''' Since I work on an automated test platform for box testing, I'd like to trade ideas with people about all things testing. I'm also interested in using the test library for integration testing, and would like to hear success stories about this. Performance/load testing? Is it really doable with Tcl? I'm also interested in tutorials or discussions on stubbing old libraries. We have a lot of these from our earlier days and we've just been recompiling with every release of tcl. ugh. Making faster/better server/clients. I am self taught and have many gaps in my tcl knowledge and would love to meet people and discuss ideas and learn more in general. Please add to the list. '''On the location of the meetings''' I want to include as many people as possible in the Chicago area. Perhaps we can alternate locations -- Chicago, Suburbs, etc. Please post suggestions here. I will also try to find a place more conducive for lecture-type of activities. In the North West 'burbs, I suggest Coffee Haus in Schaumburg. It has the benefit of internet hookup if you bring a laptop. And it's a nice place to get tea or coffee. '''On the frequencey of the meetings''' Monthly? '''On the Tcl Conference this year''' It's just a short drive away. Carpooling? If anyone will be giving a presentation there, they can beta test it on us. [sheila]
