Just a few years ago, toward the end of the '90s, ERP epitomized
Big, Serious Programming.  It was entirely comparable to such more
recent management fads as CRM, EAI, eBusiness, ...  If anything, it has a less ambiguous ROI than these others.

[the widespread misperception that Tcl is a 'toy' language],
and that the only
[applications in Tcl and Tcl/Tk] aren't "serious" ones,
