** Electronics Burn-in Acceleration Factor and eTCL Slot Calculator Demo Example ** This page is under development. Comments are welcome, but please load any comments in the comments section at the bottom of the page. Please include your wiki MONIKER and date in your comment with the same courtesy that I will give you. Aside from your courtesy, your wiki MONIKER and date as a signature and minimal good faith of any internet post are the rules of this TCL-WIKI. Its very hard to reply reasonably without some background of the correspondent on his WIKI bio page. Thanks, [gold] 12DEC2018 ---- <> ---- **Introduction** [gold] Here is some TCL calculations for the burn-in acceleration factor in electronics testing. Most of the testcases involve replicas or models, using assumptions and rules of thumb. *** Pseudocode and Equations *** ====== price? = raw materials + labor + profit price? = raw materials + heat process price? = raw materials + labor average price per unit = revenue / units sold ====== ---- ***Testcases Section*** In planning any software, it is advisable to gather a number of testcases to check the results of the program. The math for the testcases can be checked by pasting statements in the TCL console. Aside from the TCL calculator display, when one presses the report button on the calculator, one will have console show access to the capacity functions (subroutines). **** Testcase 1 **** %|table 1|printed in| tcl format|% &| quantity| value| comment, if any|& &| testcase number:|1 | |& &| 150.0 :|test hours| |& &| 60.0 :|normal operating temperature centigrade | |& &| 150.0 :|higher test temperature centigrade | |& &| 0.4 :|electron volt (silicon=.4) | |& &| 30.0 :|answers: temperature acceleration factor | |& &| 30.0 :|temperature acceleration factor| |& &| 150.0 :|test at higher temperature hours| |& &| 2929.05289702299 :|effective hours | |& ---- **** Testcase 2 **** %|table 2|printed in| tcl format|% &| quantity| value| comment, if any|& &| testcase number:|2 | |& &| 300.0 :|test hours| |& &| 55.0 :|normal operating temperature centigrade | |& &| 160.0 :|higher test temperature centigrade | |& &| 0.4 :|electron volt (silicon=.4) | |& &| 30.0 :|answers: temperature acceleration factor | |& &| 30.0 :|temperature acceleration factor| |& &| 300. :|test at higher temperature hours| |& &| 9343. :|effective hours | |& ---- **** Testcase 3 **** %|table 3|printed in| tcl format|% &| quantity| value| comment, if any|& &| testcase number:|3 | |& &| 300.0 :|test hours| |& &| 55.0 :|normal operating temperature centigrade | |& &| 160.0 :|higher test temperature centigrade | |& &| 0.4 :|electron volt (silicon=.4) | |& &| 30.0 :|answers: temperature acceleration factor | |& &| 30.0 :|temperature acceleration factor| |& &| 300.0 :|test at higher temperature hours| |& &| 9343.54850428406 :|effective hours | |& ---- ***Screenshots Section*** ****figure 1.**** ---- ***References:*** * Stat ---- **Appendix Code** ***appendix TCL programs and scripts *** ====== # pretty print from autoindent and ased editor # burn in acceleration calculator # written on Windows XP on eTCL # working under TCL version 8.5.6 and eTCL 1.0.1 # gold on TCL Club, 15oct2014 # comment follows from gold, dated 12Dec2018 # pretty print from autoindent and ased editor # burn in acceleration calculator V2 # written on Windows XP on TCL # working under TCL version 8.6 # Revamping older program from 15Jan2014. # One of my early TCL programs on wiki, # but I believe the burn_in equations # might have some interest (to me). package require Tk namespace path {::tcl::mathop ::tcl::mathfunc} frame .frame -relief flat -bg aquamarine4 pack .frame -side top -fill y -anchor center set names {{} {test hours:} } lappend names {normal operating temperature centigrade :} lappend names {higher test temperature centigrade: } lappend names {semiconductor activation energy, electron volt (default silicon=0.4) :} lappend names {answers: temperature acceleration factor :} lappend names {temperature acceleration factor: } lappend names {test at higher temperature hours : } lappend names {effective hours :} foreach i {1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8} { label .frame.label$i -text [lindex $names $i] -anchor e entry .frame.entry$i -width 35 -textvariable side$i grid .frame.label$i .frame.entry$i -sticky ew -pady 2 -padx 1 } proc about {} { set msg "Calculator for Burn In Acceleration calculator from TCL WIKI, gold on TCL Club, 12Dec2018 " tk_messageBox -title "About" -message $msg } proc self_help {} { set msg " Burn-in Acceleration Factor V2 from TCL , # self help listing # problem, Burn-in Acceleration Factor V2 # 4 givens follow. 1) test hours: 2) normal operating temperature centigrade: 3) higher test temperature centigrade: 4) activation energy, electron volts (silicon=.4): # semiconductor activation energy, .1>> copyright notice <<< # This posting, screenshots, and TCL source code is # copyrighted under the TCL/TK license terms. # Editorial rights and disclaimers # retained under the TCL/TK license terms # and will be defended as necessary in court. "Burn-in Acceleration Factor Calculator " ====== ---- *** Pushbutton Operation*** For the push buttons, the recommended procedure is push testcase and fill frame, change first three entries etc, push solve, and then push report. Report allows copy and paste from console. For testcases in a computer session, the eTCL calculator increments a new testcase number internally, eg. TC(1), TC(2) , TC(3) , TC(N). The testcase number is internal to the calculator and will not be printed until the report button is pushed for the current result numbers. The current result numbers will be cleared on the next solve button. The command { calculate; reportx } or { calculate ; reportx; clearx } can be added or changed to report automatically. Another wrinkle would be to print out the current text, delimiters, and numbers in a TCL wiki style table as ====== puts " %| testcase $testcase_number | value| units |comment |%" puts " &| volume| $volume| cubic meters |based on length $side1 and width $side2 |&" ====== ---- [gold] 12Dec2018.
