[Luciano ES] made a great hack to master the style to how '''you''' like it. [SupremeXeN.com KommandEr] rescued this content when [LES] was forced to sequester his technical achievement by classless ruffians and the uncouth: Moved here from [Wiki with style]: [LES] on Nov-12-2007: I don't want to seem rude or ungrateful, but I don't like "the new look" at all. I think that menu takes up too much space and, actually, I loathe Javascript. I missed the old look. So I did what I could to restore the old look and, while at it, changed it a little. I decided to share my solution. Even if you don't like it, you can hack it. Except that, of course, if you want to hack the CSS that is hosted in my site [http://braziliantranslation.net/css/wikit.css], you will have to host it yourself elsewhere. First of all, you need to install and configure Privoxy [http://www.privoxy.org]. Then download these two files: [http://braziliantranslation.net/css/user.action] and [http://braziliantranslation.net/css/default.filter]. Copy the contents of my user.action file to the end (append) of yours and the contents of my default.filter file to the end (append) of yours. That's all. There is no need to reboot your machine or restart Privoxy. Just refresh the pages in your browser. Please note that I made that for Firefox on Linux. I also tested it on Konqueror. I have no idea if it will work on IE. This is not a bug report, suggestion or feature request. It's a completely independent solution that anyone can use '''now''' without the approval of any Web designer or team and will not interfere with anybody else's experience. It's completely private. I thought the best place for me to share this idea was at the [Wiki with style] page. People interested in or dissatisfied with the recent changes are likely to read that page. No one is likely to be interested in reading my personal page. But my idea is not welcome there: [stevel] - can't please everyone, but I *again* respectfully request that you keep such discussions off this page. Can I suggest you start another page for discussing alternative wiki layouts? I'll then post my comments - which will be along the lines of "whatever works for you" and "don't underestimate the effort involved in getting an acceptably good solution across multiple platforms". You do realise you can hit the "Hide menu" link at the bottom of each page, don't you? Complied. It doesn't make much sense to me, but it's not really important either. ---- !!!!!! %| enter categories here |% !!!!!!
