is a Java compiler [testing] framework [http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/linux/library/l-jacks/?dwzone=linux] that was developed for open source Java compiler projects because the official Sun development kits have not been released. Jacks is used by a number of Java software projects including Jikes, GCJ, and Kaffe (Kopi Compiler).
