IBM apparently believes will only take five million USD to build:
"  • centralised authentication • secure communication • a simple web server in the client • an application client/server connection - use to implement an API in the client - use to ship code from client to server - invoke functionality on the desktop"

[XO] Is there any chance I can get a copy of this great Klant and give it a try? I have read the paper and the above mentioned Presentation file. Great idea!

I've put the source (+ binary libraries for OSX, [Linux] and [Windows]) at [http://www.digitalsmarties.com/tcl/klant.tar.gz].
