I work in Bioinformatics and have made several applications in this field, that include a great deal of Tcl:

• novoSNP: http://www.molgen.ua.ac.be/bioinfo/novosnp/ : finding SNPs and indels in resequencing projects
• RnaViz: http://rnaviz.sourceforge.net/ : for drawing RNA secundary structure models
• DCSE: http://rrna.cde.ua.ac.be/dcse/ : multiple sequence alignment editor with structure information

I am currently working on a web application using tclhttpd, which is really great

While writing thes application several extensions to Tcl were produced:

• Extral http://extral.sourceforge.net/ : extra commands for Tcl
• ClassyTcl and ClassyTk http://classytcl.sourceforge.net/ : object system, extra widgets, builder and some applications
• interface http://tcl-dbi.sourceforge.net/interface/ : Tcl extension for defining interfaces
• tcldbi http://tcl-dbi.sourceforge.net/ : database acces api
• tclCompress: http://rrna.cde.ua.ac.be/tclcompress/ : compress data in Tcl
• tcldbm: http://rrna.cde.ua.ac.be/tcldbm : dbm access from Tcl
