Purpose: to discuss Source Navigator and share tips and tricks for making better use of it. ---- Source Navigator is an IDE tool that was created by Cygnus, then moved to Red Hat when Cygnus was purchased. It has since been released under the GPL. The project has moved to SourceForge and has released a new stable 5.1 version. The 5.1 release includes the long awaited upgrade to Tcl/Tk 8.3. http://sourcenav.sourceforge.net/ ---- [RMSB] Looks dead as of 2005: last news from feb/2003. [SLB] Seems it is still being worked on, though: http://sourcenav.cvs.sourceforge.net/sourcenav/src/snavigator/ChangeLog ---- [wdb] Back in 1999/2000, I used V.4 for development MTE [http://wolf-dieter-busch.de/js/mte/en.htm] with Win95. It was a really fine tool, moreover: ingenious, so easy that even a chaotic like me could surf his own code! Sadly, I could not run V.5 in my current OS (Linux). ---- [Category Application] | [IDE] |
