[tb] In [TclTalk] the term ''"image"'' simply means it's ''.kit'' file. The term was borrowed from [Smalltalk], where an image is a binary representation of all code, objects and symbols that make up a running system or a derivate. TclTalk keeps track of all changes to namespaces, variables and procedures during the development process, while working with it's browser. These changes go into the writable starkit of ''tcltalk.kit'', making use of the virtual file system inside a starkit. A TclTalk image will allways be shareable between at least all users of the same version of [tclkit]. ---- !!!!!! %| Category IDE |% !!!!!!
