[tb] In [TclTalk] the term ''"image"'' simply means its ''.kit'' file. The term was borrowed from [Smalltalk], where an image is a binary representation of all code, objects and symbols that make up a running system or a derivative. TclTalk keeps track of all changes to namespaces, variables and procedures during the development process, while working with its browser. These changes go into the writable starkit of ''tcltalk.kit'', making use of the virtual file system ([VFS]) inside starkits. A TclTalk image will always be shareable between at least all users of the same version of [tclkit]. ---- !!!!!! %| [Category Dev. Tools] | [IDE] |% !!!!!!
