CMcC 26Aug08 After several months of using varnish we have reverted to the in-wub proxy cache.  Varnish, whatever its strengths, didn't allow us to avoid a persistent bot spam attack, so it's gone.

There have been some problems in reverting, but they are fairly minor and will be remediated as they are found.
