HP-15 Simulation
An HP-15C Simulator for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X
Jeff Smith 2020-08-02 : Below is an online demo using CloudTk. This demo runs HP-15 Simulation in an Alpine Linux Docker Container. It is a 28.5MB image which is made up of Alpine Linux + tclkit + HP-15-Simulation.kit + libx11 + libxft + fontconfig + ttf-linux-libertine. It is run under a user account in the Container. The Container is restrictive with permissions for "Other" removed for "execute" and "read" for certain directories.

Version 4.0.00, build 5811, of the HP-15C Simulator has been released. It has native support for Windows 32/64bit (XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10), Linux 32/64bit (x86) and Mac OS X (Intel/x86). The Tcl/Tk source code should run on all unixoid operating systems supported by Tcl/Tk 8.5.12 or newer.
A few highlights of this release:
- Matrix support. This was the last missing HP-15C feature.
- Windows: A graphical display is used in case the HP-15C Simulator Font can not be installed.
- macOS: Native popup menus are used where possible.
- Documentation: Improved documentation dialogue with support for HTML tags and a preview mode

Version 3.4.00, build 5544, of the HP-15C Simulator has been released. It has native support for MS Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8.x, 10), Linux (x86) and Mac OS X (Intel/x86). The Tcl/Tk source code should run on all unixoid operating systems supported by Tcl/Tk 8.5.9 or newer.
Some highlights of this release:
- Windows: Native 64bit version.
- DM-15 support: Bug fixes and improved handling.
- Documentation: Improved documentation dialogue and new options for the HTML export.

Version 3.3.00, build 5403, of the HP-15C Simulator has been released. It has native support for MS Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8.x), Linux (x86) and Mac OS X (Intel/x86). The Tcl/Tk source code should run on all unixoid operating systems supported by Tcl/Tk 8.5.x or newer.
This release fixes some minor bugs, brings a reviewed and improved help and 20% faster program execution. A detailed list can be found in the "Read Me & Release Notes" of the downloads.

Version 3.2.00, build 5319, of the HP-15C Simulator has been released. It has native support for MS Windows (XP, Vista and 7), Linux (x86) and Mac OS X (Intel/x86). The Tcl/Tk source code should run on all unixoid operating systems supported by Tcl/Tk 8.5.x or newer.
The highlight in this release is the support for SwissMicros DM-15/DM-15CC card-size HP-15C clones. See the DM-15 section in the documentation for all details and how to enable the DM-15 support. Please note that the support is disabled by default!

This version supports Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7, Linux x86 and - for the first time - Mac OS X (x86).
Mobile operating systems like PocketPC, Windows Mobile or Android are not supported.

Torsten Manz has written an HP-15C simulation entirely in Tcl/Tk.
The latest version (1.2.10) of the simulator is available from the simulator home page [L3 ].
Since version 1.2.08 the simulator supports Windows Vista.
The version available from "The Museum of HP Calculators" is still outdated.

Happily using this simulation besides tclsh - the latter is useful when it comes to calculations with large integer numbers.
