Applescript and legacy applications

Stavros Kassinos has generously donated an example [1 ] which demonstrates how to use Applescript as an IPC mechanism (Inventory of IPC methods) for the control of a legacy FORTRAN application by a thin Tcl wrapper.

Cameron Laird is exceptionally fond of this architecture of thinly wrapped legacy applications [refer to papers by Alex and JCW?], and has published several pieces on it, including a three-part series [3 ] for "Regular Expressions [2 ].
