ARM is a multinational semiconductor company , known for their widely used ARM CPU architecture .

ARM only licenses their technology, as opposed to manufacturing chips themselves. It is commonly used in embedded devices, cellphones, routers, ... and more recently there seems to be an interest for servers. They also provide software development systems for some of their work.
