Duquette's First Law

Any sufficiently popular networked application will evolve to include a web browser.

-- WHD although possibly this isn't an original observation

Sounds very much like "Every program expands until it can send mail." -- you just applied it to a different area. :-)

TV Honestly, I feel much like seeing application of the law known to every electrical engineer and of course many others to the world of software, alledgedly coming from Murphy:

  • Anything that can go wrong will go wrong at some point in time ...

SO Experience has taught me that Murphy was an optimist .... :)

TV And I guess copyright to such opinions is unavailable...

DKF: The obvious conclusion is that adding a web-browser to an application is an example of things going wrong... :^D
