I work with tcl/tk since the release of 7.4. I have implemented huge projects parently commercial. I have interrupted using tcl/tk for the last 2 years. Now I have started a new project what is currently on development. I'm very happy with the progress the tcl/tk team is doing, especially with the namespace facility. What I would like to see is, that itcl get integrated into tcl/tk.

Projects:

  • Code-Navigator(c) : a new project, it is a source code analysis and development tool. With it, you can edit your source code and parse your source code for classes, methods, variables and all language scopes. it supports more than 10 languages, like c++, java, tcl, incrTcl, vbas, sql, html, etc. See [L1 ] for more details. It's based on real rdbms systems, like mysql, sqLite, odbc, oracle, sqlserver, informix. Just now 4 beta releases went out of the door. just try it and you will be very happy with it.
  • Source-Navigator(TM) : Source-Navigator is owned by RedHat and is GPL'd. It's similar to Code-Navigator, but is based on berkeley database. See [L2 ].

  • Source-Navigator-Extensions(c) : Some history here, actually as I left Cygnus (Redhat now) I haven't interrupted working with Source-Navigator. But this project has been frozen some years ago. So I extended SN to get better functionality out of it. The result was this extensions to the tool See [L3 ].
