Sometimes it is easy to forget that the success of Tcl has been built upon the contributions of hundreds of individuals, so this week I would like to highlight three individuals who continue to make a noticeable contribution to our online Community and to the continued success of Tcl.
Congratulations are in order for Bryan Oakley, who is moving to work for Vignette, who ship StoryServer - a successful web-based product based upon Tcl-Tk. Good luck!
Something strange and unexpected, but wholly welcome happened this week - status reports on open bugs submitted to Scriptics started to fill up peoples mailboxes. This was the first, but I'm sure not the last, effect of Jeff Hobbs joining Scriptics and helping to strengthen its ongoing commitment to the Tcl Community.
Congratulations to Brent Welch for the favorable attention he brought to the Tcl Web Server in September 1999 issue of *Performance Computing*. See Kevin Reichard`s column, "Web Advisor", for details. For the Tcl Web Server to be mentioned side-by-side with Netscape's powerhouse is a great tribute to Brent and all the people who have contributed to its evolution over the years.
