write_file

This command is part of the TclX package.

write_file fileName string ?string ...?

This command writes the specified strings to the named file.

What encoding does it use? What separator between the strings?

JDW I don't know about the encoding, but (at least on Tclx 8.4) it appends the strings with newlines. To steal NetScape's old line: It's spelled [write_file] but it's pronounced [write_text_file].
