Version 6 of Bryan Oakley

I recently finished a year long contract to GMV (COMPANY: GMV). Now I'm doing some Tcl/Tk GUI work for BitMover (COMPANY: BitMover).

I was originally introduced to Tcl when I was hired to rewrite all of a company's GUIs, which were written in Tcl. This was circa 1995. Except for a one year stint doing (ouch) Java (ouch!) and a short stint at C++ (ouch ouch ouch!) I've been doing Tcl scripting ever since.

I've written a couple of free widgets (combobox and mclistbox), an almost-widget (supertext -- a text widget with unlimited undo ala emacs) and contributed to the tkdiff project. My latest project, for which I can never seem to find the time to properly finish, is tkWizard.

my free software is available at my home page: http://purl.org/net/oakley/
