Basic accounts are free [L1 ], so it has become popular with people who like to show the pictures made with their digital cameras or cameraphone online to friends etc. Many bloggers use it too. Flickr is now owned by Yahoo.
Managing the content can be done via webpages, as well as via the Flickr API, see http://www.flickr.com/services/api . No API for Tcl listed.
EF Actually, I have a complete (?) implementation of the Flickr API on my harddrive. It uses the reflection API to discover new methods whenever suitable. It is not entirely ready for prime-time yet, but if somebody is interested, just drop me an email.
