TEB: I am compiling Metakit 2.4.9.4 from source on Slackware 10.2. I downloaded Metakit at http://www.equi4.com/pub/mk/metakit-2.4.9.4.tar.gz . After compiling, when I tried to load the package Mk4tcl from tclsh, I got the same error as posted at http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.db.metakit/2122 .
"undefined symbol: _ZTVN10_cxxabiv120_si_class_type_infoE."
If you modify configure and configure.in according to the post above, Mk4tcl loads without problem. The problem was identified and resolved but somehow crept back into the source file. Apparently, the corrected configure and configure.in were not saved to http://www.equi4.com/pub/mk or were saved but were later replaced with earlier incorrect versions.
