Version 7 of OpenVerse Visual Chat

Updated 2003-03-30 04:46:58

OpenVerse Visual Chat is an application written in pure tcl/tk which requires no extensions to the language. We are an OpenSource project and welcome any and all help from Tcl programmers around the world.

OpenVerse was written by David Gale.

UNFORTUNATLY NO ONE IS MAINTAINING IT ANYMORE BECAUSE THE PERSON WHO CREATED IT QUIT THE PROJECT. YOU CAN FIND SOME INFORMATION AT THEIR NEW WEB SITE http://openverse.com

PLEASE NOTE - ALL LINKS WHICH POINT TO OPENVERSE.ORG ARE NO LONGER RELATED TO THE OPENVERSE VISUAL CHAT PROJECT.

If you're into fishing you can check out lots of information about that at the following web links. (what's this got to do with tcl? well I guess I use some tcl scripts to make the web sites work ! )

**** It's a pity that not written anywhere on www.openverse.com that openverse is an "abandonware"!

I download the latest version for testing, and I think the main idea behind was great, the other pain was to find a server still running in the list openverse.com port 7000, was the room I visited (with 4 ghost like displayed users!)

Thus, seems that M$ messenger has great future (if everybody "give up the fight")

Sadly,

Bob M.
