Working at Eurocontrol Maastricht UAC, the upper area air traffic control centre responsible for the European backbone air traffic over Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and northern Germany. Team leader of the OPE/HMI team. Product owner of the Controller Working Position (CWP) subsystem, dealing with the interactive presentation of track, flightplan, conflict, coordination, weather and support data to the ATC controller.
Currently managing a project to design and implement the Fallback CWP system. Application, codecs, SNMP agents, system startup and process monitoring nearly completely in Tcl/Tk, with only a few modules (Track canvas item, UDP channel) in C. Introduced within operational system 05-Jan-2006. Target date for begin of operational use 23-Feb-2006.
