Version 1 of Steve Simmons

I'm primarily a sysadmin rather than a programmer. TCL first hit my radar at the USENIX where Ousterhout introduced it, and has been on my list of Good Things ever since. Most recently I twisted Clif Flynts arm to get him to do the 2003 conf, and pitched in a bit to get the network running in the meeting rooms.

I was particularly impressed by some of the things folks have been doing with Starkit. It jibes very well with a lot of the issues I addressed in 1994 with the paper Software Design For Installability[L1 ]. It's good to know that things move forward.

You can find many of my writings and other things you'd rather not know at my web page, http://lokkur.dexter.mi.us .
