Several new software releases this week, highlighted by the beta of the 8.1 core. Help improve all of this software by banging on it hard and providing bug reports and fixes back to the authors!
- The first beta release of the Tcl/Tk 8.1 core (which adds support for internationalization) is now available from Scriptics http://www.scriptics.com/software/8.1.html
- Jeff Hobbs releases version 2.4 of his TkTable widget, adding row and column spanning (see [L2 ])
- Dennis LaBelle announces a new version of the XF GUI builder. http://members.aol.com/xfguibuild/
- Tom Poindexter updates Sybtcl to version 3.0b2 (see [L3 ])
- Some more thoughts on speeding up scripts from Jeff Hobbs (see [L4 ])
- The Smaller Tcl Project finds a home and a new mailing list http://www.bright.net/~zfrey/smalltcl.html
