Co-maintainer of Tcl::pTk , which is probably the easiest way to run existing Perl/Tk programs on modern Tcl/Tk, and for using native Aqua UI in Tk 8.5+ on macOS (instead of XQuartz).
I actually don't know much Tcl/Tk syntax other than package require Tk, and would consider myself a beginner in (general-purpose) Perl. I'm much more experienced/comfortable/productive in Python (using PyQt5 for GUI), and somewhat knowledgeable of C and certain C++ features.
