Decent Espresso is a company based in Hong Kong, San Francisco and Seattle. They build espresso machines that are controlled from a touch-screen tablet. Users have control over temperature and pressure. Data are recorded along with parameters such as flow rate, ambient humidity, and the actual temperature in the grouphead (using a thermo probe). So custom results can be replicated.
The tablet software is developed with Tcl/Tk and AndroWish with Bluetooth (See here [L1 ]). There was an Offering TCL Jobs about this topics in October 2016.
An overview of how Tcl/Tk is used by Decent Espresso was presented at the EuroTcl conference: [L2 ]
