A quick hack by Steve Redler IV
This unfortunately relies on a feature of the img extension, but, since its not difficult to place img into a tclkit, I find this preferable to using BLT to accomplish the same.
Hopefully this ugly code will be benificial to others. Feel free to clean it up. I wont be offended if someone optimizes it before I do.
The purpose of this code is to enable the creation of rotated text, 90, 45, 180 & 225 degrees for placement on the axis of graphs. This demo shows each angle, plus a graphic rotated at 45 degrees.

06-25-2003 Fixed a bug in 270 rotated text that created a single bit artifact to show up.- SRIV
Breadcrust (cut out my own old and somewhat bitchy comments – Jasp) . . . see also http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/adjustimg .
Note - my rotation command only supports rotations that are a multiple of 90 (eg 90, 180, 270) and not anything smaller.
lm 2009/08/03 : In Tk 8.6, the canvas widget allows text rotation by any angle (-angle switch), thanks to dkf.
SRIV 2009/08/03 It look him long enough :) Thanks dkf!
