TkNotepad [L1 ] is an editor written in Tcl/Tk. Appearantly being an HTML editor it is optimized to pre-process text files created with scan and ocr. Main intention is easy prepare text files to generate ebooks (epub). Script is developed and tested under Linux (not Windows)!

 * double click selects paired parens, international quotes, and XML tags
 * triple click selects grammatical sentence (switchable)
 * context menu to surround text by tags such as <em>here</em>
 * smart keys such as /o -- ø (switchable)
 * hide text areas
 * Button “Replace all” works on document or -- if any -- on selection
 * search history with cursor keys
 * helpful search strings with context menu -- such as find non-balanced quotes 
 * spell check in search dialog -- misspelled string in search field
 * spell propose in replace window with cursor keys
