Purpose

This page is to document open source Tcl software projects that are currently dormant and the original author(s) have neither the time, will, or incentive to further maintain them.

Hopefully, by overtly documenting projects that are available, a few of these projects may find new life through adoption by a new developer or project leader.

Posting a project for adoption

Add the project(s) that you wish to be taken over by someone else. Also acceptable are open source projects whose last known author/developer cannot be contacted. Please use this template to list your project for adoption:

Name

Name of your project. Reference to wiki page if applicable.

Description

A one-line description of the project. If you need more than one line, create a new wiki page, and link to it in the project name.

Seeking

The type of project developer sought:

• Leader - take over project fully.
• Developer - additional developer to contribute under direction of current project leader.

Date offered

The date the project is offered, YYYY-MM-DD format.

Current leader

Name of the current or last known project leader and/or author. If a current leader cannot be contacted, add the notation ?? after the name.

Posted by

Name of the person creating the posting. If you are posting someone else's project, please first try to solicit the original author's approval.

Contact

Email, wiki page, or other contact information.

Website

URL of the project's website, if any.

Project site

URL of the project's development website, source code repository, source tarball, or zip archive.

Category

The wiki Category which best describes the project. See [L1 ] for a list of categories.

Adopted by

Name and/or contact information of the person(s) adopting the project.

Adoption date

Date of which the project was adopted.

Prospective Leaders/Developers

Contact the current developer to become a project maintainer or leader, for access to the projects source code repository and/or website. In the case where the last known author/maintainer cannot be contacted, help yourself! Edit this page, adding your name and/or contact information in the Adopted by: and the current date in the Adoption date: section.
